refbook Default availability

Default availability

'Default availability' is your underlying availability that are you are able to work. It is the 'typical' weekly schedule you wish to provide assignors that doesn't change regularly.

It's important to set a base level of availability, as by default, all users are unavailable until declared available. This will mean that assignors cannot select your name (unless your organisation has enabled full availability on behalf of all users).

For inputting specific and isolated availability records, use the Custom availability method.

Adding Default availability
  1. Head to Availability>Default Availability from the left sidebar menu
  2. This displays the Default Availability section as days of the week.
    1. Toggle on the days you wish to 'turn on' some availability for

    2. If you are available for the entire 24hour period, select 'All day'

    3. If you wish to be available for only a selected period, enter From and To times

    4. Select parameters for the number of games to be assigned per day (this is an optional setting, mostly suited to competitions that have potential to appoint high volumes of games per day. It is largely used by assignors using the auto assignment feature, and is not a hard restriction. If unsure, leave these fields blank (default is 1)
      1. Min Games: minimum games per day
      2. Max Games: maximum games per day
      3. Concurrency: the number of games this is preferenced to be consecutive (eg: back to back)

    5. You can choose to apply this Default availability to specific organisations (if connected to multiple), or SELECT ALL to have it used across all of your linked organisations.

    6. Click SAVE to confirm.
Example
  1. available on Tuesdays between 5:00PM - 8:00PM, with a game quantity range of 1-3, and but must be 3 in a row
  2. available all day on Wednesdays to Fridays and for one game only
  3. available all day on Saturday, but for a minimum of 3 games, a maximum of 6, and preference is two in a row
  4. unavailable on Monday and Sunday
